Chad’s Biggest Loser Audition

With a fair amount of fanfare, Chad Ridge’s (www.chadridge.com) audition video for the Biggest Loser is now made and sent off to hopefully get him placed onto Season 11 of the Biggest Loser TV show on NBC.
It was great working with Chad and quite an accomplishment. Things went very smooth throughout the entire process.

The video is posted here for your viewing:

WAV Media gets a boost

WAV Media has had a great summer so far.

Working on a video that is for a possible contestant on The Biggest Loser TV show. A little over 10 minutes of pure promo, his life, and his weight, to better convey his needs and personality to the show producers. Will put up a link to the video once it’s done.

Also grabbed some video of Motor Booty Affair which is up for viewing on my YouTube page along with a Biggest Loser teaser video.

May also pick up some filler shooting for the Maine Dept. of Tourism through their media firm. Time will tell. Need to get out more with the new camera and just -make it happen-.

Fall off the face of the Earth?

Not quite. Still glad the Earth is round though..

At the end of April I gained some part-time employment at Staples. C’mon by and if I’m there, buy a computer and everything you need to go with it!

I have been trying to do as much video as possible and just giving it away hoping to get some recognition.. maybe it would turn into something. (Sometimes) you just have to make your own success. The economy is not in a good place and summer is better than half over here.

Blues Marker Dedication Ceremony

Have a house for sale on North Haven Island. $127k. Interested? Let me know.

Job Hunting

Well.. After 20+ years at the same job, I’m unemployed.

Laid off on October 22nd, due to lack of work and a “logistics” issue (they say), I now am hunting for something as income to make it through the winter.

I’ll keep you posted.. Career Center on Monday and a Dr.’s  appointment in the afternoon. It will be an eventful day.

Wind Power

VINALHAVEN ISLAND, MAINE – September 12, 2009

Three big wind turbines are being erected out on Vinalhaven. These are visible from the mainland 12 miles away and will be operational sometime in November of this year.

This is the only island wind power project on the east coast of the US.

The middle is the Cianbro crane that’s doing all of the heavy lifting. To either side are sections of two turbine columns.

Disc Frisker (Presents)

Just set up another WP Blog/Website for a friend who promotes and reviews regional (and world) music. In fact, his first site review is a band called Lowpitch. Interesting music.

So hop on over and check out Disc Frisk Presents. (Link opens in new window.)

Summer?

Not sure when it’s going to start. (I have my little space heater on right now!) Yes and it’s July 24th! The temperature right now is only 61F outside. The weather has been terrible all summer. Only had 3 days of sunshine in June!

Our Maine Lobster Festival starts here next week. Five days of food and entertainment at Rockland’s Harbor Park.

I’ll try to pop back in here before fall.

Ike + Houston = Mess

What didn’t get blown away or flooded is a total wreck. Power is slowly being restored and many places still under water. I have a friend, Jay Lindsey, that lives in Conroe, TX which is just north of Houston and no one has heard from him (at our AcidExchange Guild) since the storm. He’s just probably waiting to get things back to normal. Hope he’s okay..

We will be getting rain, wind, and a flyby from Ike’s remnants tonight as it makes its way up the St. Lawrence river valley. Nothing un-ordinary for us really. September now about half over.. here comes fall.

A reminder to cut the pumpkins from the vines soon for the grandkids.
